Four Life Hacks for getting ready in the Morning

Four Life Hacks for getting ready in the Morning
What you do in the morning really has a rather substantial impact on how you are going to feel for the rest of the day. If you do not start off the day in the correct manner, then you are basically setting yourself up for eventual disaster. The best way to improve your morning routine is to make preparing for the day ahead your main goal. Instead of rolling out of bed and grabbing some toast on your way out the door, you should have a game plan that allows you to optimize that small bit of energy that you actually have during the day. Let's take a look at four life hacks that could make it easier for you to prepare for the day ahead.

Get Everything Ready the Night Before
The first thing you will want to do to hack your morning routine is to make sure that you are prepared before you go to sleep the night before. Lay out your clothes neatly or the clothes you bought from and make sure that you are not going to be searching around for your socks or shoes during the period of time that you should be using to make breakfast. Your mind works much better the night before than it does in the morning, so it makes sense to use that time to think clearly about what you are going to need in the morning.

Give Yourself More Time in the Morning
In addition to optimizing your mornings, you should also just give yourself more time in the morning. This time does not necessarily need to be used to prepare for the day, and sometimes it makes sense to start your day an hour or two earlier than whatever time you need to be at work. When you wake up very early, you will be wide awake when you finally get to work instead of feeling like you are still waking up while you are at the office.

Don't Use Your Phone Until You're in the Car
The phone tends to slow people down in the morning as they check RSS feeds in Twitter. Make a point not to look at your phone until you are pulling out of the driveway.

Don't Sit Down During Your Morning Routine
The best way to wake yourself up is to make sure that you are not sitting down. Try to make a rule that you do not sit back down until you have arrived at work.

These are just four simple hacks that you can use to change your morning routine. By optimizing your mornings, you will be able to be more productive at work and have more energy throughout the entire day.
