Rekha Bhardwaj – Varenyam Pandya & JOSHISH – A soulful journey

Reactions:

What happens when a melodious queen, a fabulous child artist & a Hindi rock band come under one roof? MAGIC to the ears!

Rekha Bhardwaj Live with Varenyam Pandya & JOSHISH
I was lucky indeed to be at the first row seats for the #RekhaBhardwajLive on 14th June 2015 at Phoenix Marketcity Kurla, one of the most happening malls in the island city.

As promised in the promotions, the concert took us on a soulful journey of about 2.5 hours and it was truly magical.

The concert was opened by the gifted child artist Varenyam Pandya from the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs fame. With a talent of being able to sing in upto 14 different languages, he gave the concert quite a boost despite people still entering the venue.

JOSHISH, followed the suit and enthralled the crowd with their energetic & soulful tracks. JOSHISH is an Indian rock band (though they don’t call themselves so :P) performing under the genre of Post-Prog/ Experimental Hindi & Urdu music. Watch out for their maiden/first album coming out soon. You can catch their updates on Twitter & Facebook. I personally loved their Khurdure Hain, Be Sabri & Nashedi Hai!

And when Rekha ji took the stage, it was simply amazing.  Every line that she sung had the crowds in awe. The songs list went on with Judaai, Kabira, Tere Ishq Me, Phir le aaya dil and so on. Our souls stirred in the lyrics as we sang most of the songs with the melodious queen. We never knew how the time flew and when the concert had come to an end.

To cheer us up, Rekha ji ended the note with a special request. She requested all of us to stand up and groove to her last track – Namak Ishq Ka. And the whole place turned out in a spontaneous large dance floor.

With courtesy of Blogadda.com, who gave me a chance to enjoy this concert & to my wonderful friends who gave me company – My life’s first concert was a superb experience. It was truly a night I will never forget.

Thank you Blogadda Team, Phoenix Marketcity and the performers for a soulful experience.

Onomatopoeically,
Meow
