Creativity in the times of crisis
As COVID-19 is wrecking havoc globally, India enters an official 21 days lock down today. COVID-19 also known as Corona Virus is a real disruptor. Even though everyone is aware of the greater good, most of the social media posts show how people around the world are annoyed on being locked down at home with the restrictions. That got me thinking, what sort of creative outlets would one use to keep calm in the face of isolation / quarantine / social distancing?
A few ideas that got me interested were: Writing - Both digitally and in real life, Innovative Cooking, Practicing Kon Mari
Let it flow!
As a writer stuck in a writers block, I found this to be the perfect time to finally collate my thoughts. Others being penning down a few letters to loved ones, completing my half written poems (the one below was spontaneous YEET!!), maintaining a calendar and so on. Starting from my blog here to take off ;)
Write, write, write it down,
Steadily down the page,
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Until the ink fades...
Necessity is the mother of invention and innovative cooking is the need of the hour. A lot of natural remedies help to boost immunity and should be included in our diet, the sooner the better. Managing perishables and pulses to match our basic need without making a dent in our stocks whilst making food appealing is quite a task. But with abundance of cooking videos by chefs, experimenting is a challenge I'd love to take.
I can't emphasize enough on how much clutter we create/collect unknowingly. Something that was a bi-monthly exercise can actually be integrated into our daily lives and I really, like really want to get this one done. I know I've held my old mountain of stationery very close to my heart but the time is up and I need to let them go. *sniffle*
Lastly, I also feel that when we explore and get something different done from our routine, it enhances our personal productivity and brings growth. That in itself is mentally rewarding. To that end, what are you planning to do? :) Share in the comments below and stay safe!
